• Make Multiple Images at Once
  Images are created in sets, instead of one at a time. The only difference between the images in a set is the text. So if you want to change the text color (or font, or shape, or anything else) you only have to do it once and all your images are automatically updated. This saves a tremendous amount of time. Making two buttons, or twenty, is now practically as fast as making one.


• Hundreds of Templates
  Over 300 templates are included in the program. See our gallery for some examples. These allow you to get started quickly but won't hold back your design. Virtually every aspect of the template can be modified.


• Automatic Image Sizing
  A variety of sizing options are available to suit every need:

  • Make each image just large enough to fit its text. No more manual sizing or guesswork!
  • Make all images in your set the same width and/or the same height. If the size of the largest image changes, all images are updated automatically. Wonderful for navigation bars.
  • Specify the pixel size of your images, for those times when you have a specific size you need to work with.

  All of your settings (text, font, size, colors, etc.) are saved in a project file, so existing graphics can be edited and regenerated in seconds. This will save you an unbelievable amount of time. It also makes it possible to reuse and share projects with friends and co-workers.


• 3D Effects and Shadows
  Realistic 3D effects and shadows give your images a truly professional look. You can change the light direction, shadow color, and many other parameters to get just the effect you're looking for.   Creating rollover buttons just got easy! AlphaButton generates images for the normal, mouse-over, and mouse-down states and writes the necessary HTML and JavaScript code for you. Several multi-state templates are included to make this as effortless as possible!


• Use Existing Images
  You can import existing images for use as backgrounds, to fill the text, and anywhere else colors are selected. Use your own photos, images from collections, or images you've made yourself. If you're a graphic designer, you can still make your designs in your favorite image editing program (like PhotoShop) and import them into AlphaButton to add text. AlphaButton handles many tedious details these other programs don't, like automatic image sizing and text placement.


• Icons
  You can select images to place next to, above, or below the text on your images.


• Multi-Line Text
  A single image can have as many lines of text on it as you want. The justification of these lines can be set to left, right, or center.


• Translucency
  Translucency (a.k.a. "alpha blending") is how see-through a color is. So instead of just picking a solid opaque color, you can pick a color that is partially see-through. You can even use translucent colors in gradients! For example, you could create a gradient that is totally see-through in the middle and partially blue along the outside edges. You could put that on top of an imported image (like a photo) to create stunning results! Several new templates take advantage of this feature.


• Transparency
  Transparency is supported for all 8-bit output formats. This allows you to create a single set of images for use on a variety of backgrounds.


• Multiple Output Formats
  All standard web image formats are supported, including:

  • PNG (both 24-bit and 8-bit)
  • JPEG (3 compression levels)
  • GIF

  Our 8-bit color reduction formula is so good you may never see a difference compared to 24-bit... except in faster download times.

  Preview your images in a web browser with the click of a button. HTML and JavaScript code is automatically generated to display your images. Just copy and paste into your web page!

  • There are 7 gradient styles to choose from, several of which let you specify an angle. So instead of just horizontal and vertical gradients, you can choose a gradient at any angle. Also available are elliptical, rectangular, and diamond, to name a few.
